you.What do we need:The Volunteer & Community Engagement
Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the volunteer program,
supporting the in-kind program and supporting fundraising and other
events sponsored by People Serving People. This position provides
volunteer resources to program managers, including volunteer
recruitment, orientation, and retention. Engaging corporate
volunteer groups is a particular focus of this position, including
in-kind program coordination. This position supports the planning
and implementation efforts for People Serving People-sponsored
events and coordinates in-kind gift solicitation and inventory for
the organization. This position leverages key relationships and
contacts within the community, in collaboration with other
development team members and program staff, to effectively connect
supporters' interest and People Serving People's mission, program
activities, and support requirements to meet revenue
goals.Responsibilities:Volunteer ManagementManage the full spectrum
of both on- and off-site volunteer engagement, including
recruitment, intake, orientation, scheduling, tracking, evaluation,
recognition, and retention. Collaborate with program and operations
staff to identify volunteer and in-kind donation needs, orientation
and training requirements, and recognition and retention
activities. Collaborate with community partners on the successful
execution of 3rd party fundraisers, drives, and on-site volunteer
events.Represent PSP at volunteer fairs and other community and
corporate events.Create, improve and maintain systems, process, and
forms for volunteer management, ensuring a high quality of customer
service for both volunteers and staff, efficient business
processes, and accurate data capture and reporting.In-KindHandle
and respond to in-kind donation requests and scheduling for
donation drop offs/pickups.Organize and inventory in-kind donations
within storage spaces.Communicate with donors to express gratitude
and update them on how their contributions are being
used.EventsSupport select event planning and implementation for
PSP-sponsored events.Work with department leadership to support
event sponsorship, ticket sales, and volunteers.Support with
solicitation for in-kind goods and services for event auctions and
giveaways.Pay and Benefits:$27.00 - $28.00 per hour.Full-Time,
Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., occasional
evenings and weekends.Medical, dental, and vision insurance

years related experience with volunteer and events management. Work
in a non-profit fundraising department, or foundation office
environment is helpful. Possess and maintain a valid driver's
license.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient in MS Office
suite and experience with industry-standard design software
applications.Excellent interpersonal skills and success in working
in a collaborative team environment; ability to collaborate across
program and operational departments.Excellent oral and written
language skills; ability to represent PSP to a variety of audiences
in a variety of settings.Excellent project management
skills.Ability to negotiate and manage contracts related to
events.Ability to manage personnel to meet goals.Demonstrated
ability to solve problems and make quick decisions without
guidanceOutstanding organization and time management skillsVerified
ability to calmly manage spur of the moment scheduling or personnel
issuesSkilled in managing multiple tasks within a deadlineKnowledge
of regulations and compliance issues around volunteer and events
management, including insurance, gaming regulations and reporting,
and background checks.Ability and experience in working with and
for diverse groups and demonstrated commitment to issues of
homelessness, poverty, or social justice.Compensation details:
