About the Job
Conduct, oversee, and analyze data from multiple experiments
(80%)
* Generation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and T cells
from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
* Generation and expansion of T cells from iPSCs
* Assess phenotype and functionality of generated iPSC derived
blood cells using FACS analysis
* Genome editing of induced pluripotent stem cells
* Culture and maintained of iPSC cell banks
* Teaches and supervises differentiation techniques.
* Analyze and synthesize data from experiments for protocol
optimization
* Accurately records experiments and results
* Collects primary bone marrow samples from patients with myeloid
malignancies
* Isolates RNA from iPSC and primary bone marrow samples for
RNA-seq
* Performs RNA sequencing experiments
Routine lab maintenance (20%)
* Lab management and maintenance, including waste removal, supply
inventory, inventory, as well as other day-to-day laboratory
cleanliness activities
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS with major in biological science plus at least two year of
experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
to total six years
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding of laboratory protocols and necessary steps to
ensure compliance with protocols
* Ability to initiate and process multiple projects
simultaneously
* Experience with tissue culture and routine lab-related tasks
* Prior experience maintaining accurate documentation of procedures
and experimental data from projects in a logical and organized
manner
* Experience reporting effectively on the progress and direction of
individual projects
* Prior experience working with laboratory mouse strains
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $41,600-$63,000; depending on
education/qualifications/experienceTime Appointment: 75%-100%
